I'm in! Back in January over at Live Journal there was a sort of group blog session. In honor of Lewis Carroll's Birthday a bunch of us wrote that day a tale of how we "Fell through the rabiit hole"

A lot of strange, wonderful stories. But a lot of fun, to all have the same basic idea and see where all it went.

Java and cookies are enabled, cache has been cleared. It happens on all sites that use Haloscan. I believe I'm using OS 10.2.8 (I'm on the PC atm) and Firefox 1.0.4, and I'm not sure what version of Safari I have. Come to think of it, Sitemeter hasn't been working on my computer either. What a pisser.

Hmm, Jenn, I and a majority of my readers are Mac users, and I don't think other folks are having this problem. Can you see other people's comments? What version of Mac OS and Safari are you using? Do you have JavaScript and cookies enabled? Does this only happen for my site, or for all sites that use Haloscan?

If I lived near you, I would take a look at your computer and fix it for you. I hate seeing a Mac user in distress. :o(

I'm all for moving off of Haloscan, because Haloscan refuses to load on my mac, so if I read one of your posts on my computer and want to comment, i have to boot up the husband's PC, load up the site again and comment there. It happens in both Safari and Firefox and it irritates the piss out of me.

I'm all for community blogging, and boozing.

Well, thanks for waiting for me! Now I'll have to try extra hard to pull my own weight when we get down to business or people are going to be all, "We waited for her WHY?"

Also, I just read GunGirl's comment on your dating update post and, as a member of your public, I want updates. Don't go wasting my tax dollars now, Mr. Senator. Remember who pays your salary.

Ah, Sarah, it just wouldn't be the same without you. Maybe we'll put it off for a bit. I'll try to come up with an interesting topic, and maybe we can try it in a couple of weeks.

Nicholas, I can't do what you're asking unless I move off Haloscan AND I create a user-login facility. Right now it's easier to just deal with the occasional e-mail requests to edit or delete comments.

I'll be out of town this weekend, so no community blogging for me (unless I can rig up a wireless connection at a high school graduation), but I think it's a great idea and I'll be interested to read the results. Just be sure to post a list of participants so we know where to go.

Can you easily make it possible to let a commenter delete the comment? I'm not a computer person, so I don't know. On some forum you can, but they have log-ins. It might not be possible on a blog comment. You've been nice enough to delete my stupid comments on request.

i'm in, too, except for the drinking part.

i've been considering a 'religious post', too, though it isn't really my journaling style to write anything actually meaningful. i'm pretty sure that any essay about my religious beliefs would fall closer to yours than javi's, except for all the experimentation you did.

it would be an interesting experiment. let's do it!

community blogging sounds good - i'm already writing a long essay about my religious belifes based on your urging from a previous entry, so i'm already putting that into practice after a fashion - might be good to do it in a group way.
