1) Last week, some woman called my cell phone and thought I was Sherry. She sounded suspicious when I told her that I was not Sherry. Did she think that if she kept questioning me, I'd change my mind?

2) Last summer, when we lived in another house, the phone company gave us the phone number that used to belong to a locksmith. The problem was that they still had the number listed in the directory as being a locksmith. We had to turn the phones off at night, it was so bad, and every morning there would be at least 3 messages. So people listened to the message on the machine, which clearly says our names, and then left a message anyway.

3) We used to live in apartment where we had a phone number that used to belong to an elderly man who had apparently moved without telling a single soul in his family where he had gone. They called at least once a week, and they always sounded like they really thought that we had poor ol' Marcelle tied up in a closet somewhere.

The same thing happened to me at 6:00 this morning (and I do not get up until 7:30) except instead of some dumb girl asking for Brandy it was some dumb cab company asking for Mr. Joe. Thrice they called and thrice I told them that they had the WRONG NUMBER but they just kept on asking if I was SURE that no one there needed a cab. I think the mafia's closing in on me!

Why do you feel bad? She was insane as in doing the same thing over and over again expecting to get a different result. No need for you to share her insanity. She might have taken 2 seconds to connect the dots and realized that she was waking Ken up at 1 AM and then stopped. But no - she just kept at it.
