Apple Watch: Updated MacBooks | Tuesday, 2007 May 15 - 9:09 pm |
A year after their initial introduction, MacBooks get a minor update. This is kind of a yawner of an update, especially seeing as how it's been so long since the MacBooks came out. The changes: processor speeds go up by 0.167 GHz on each model; standard RAM doubles to 1GB; hard drive sizes go up by 20GB; and WiFi is now 802.11n. That's it. No LED-backlit display, no graphic processor improvement, no price drop. The speculation is that the MacBook Pro will come out on Intel's new "Santa Rosa" platform soon... and rumors are flying about an ultra-portable (MacBook mini?). With the World Wide Developer's Conference around the corner, it wouldn't surprise me to see a few hardware announcements there. |
