College Football 2013: Week 3 Preview
Thursday, 2013 September 12 - 8:15 pm
Michigan plays Akron; N.C. State has a bye before a Thursday game in Week 4.

Not much to say this week. Michigan plays the Akron Zips. Akron lost to UCF 38-7 and just squeaked by James Madison by two points. Yeah; expect the backups to come into the game early.

N.C. State has a bye this Saturday. They prepare for #3 Clemson next Thursday, and that might be painful.

Games to Watch on TV

Michigan plays Akron at noon on BTN, but the better game is probably #16 UCLA vs #23 Nebraska on ABC.

The Game of the Week is at 3:30 PM when #1 Alabama plays #6 Texas A&M on CBS. The beauty of this game is that either the #1 team loses, or pompous quarterback Johnny Manziel loses. Also keep track to see how badly Tennessee loses to #2 Oregon on ABC.

At 6:00 PM #19 Washington plays Illinois on BTN; that could be an entertaining game.

At 7:00 PM #4 Ohio State plays Cal on Fox. If Ohio State has any hopes of being a title contender, they need to show some dominance in this game.

The evening slate largely sucks. #21 Notre Dame plays Purdue at 8:00 on ABC, which should make the Irish feel better about themselves. #20 Wisconsin plays Arizona State at 10:30 PM on ESPN in the nightcap game.
