College Football 2015: Week 3 Preview
Friday, 2015 September 18 - 3:06 pm
Michigan and NCSU have cupcake opponents.

Michigan vs. UNLV
This is a drastically undersized UNLV team that's coming off a pasting by UCLA. They've got a new coach who came from coaching high school football. By all accounts he's a talented coach, but it'll take years to fix the talent deficits in the roster. UNLV should prove to be the weakest team on Michigan's schedule. Prediction: Michigan 42, UNLV 0.

NCSU vs. Old Dominion
Yet another ridiculously outmatched opponent for the Wolfpack. I don't see that it does NCSU much good to play these games, unless the goal is to guarantee a mediocre bowl game. Prediction: NCSU 49, ODU 10.

Games to Watch on TV
#9 Florida State has a potentially interesting game against Boston College, Friday night at 8:00 PM on ESPN.

Michigan plays UNLV at noon on Saturday on BTN, but a better game to watch might actually be Illinois at UNC on ESPN2. Illinois has beaten up on smaller opponents but they're playing with a lot of confidence. #23 Northwestern at Duke should also be entertaining.

#14 Georgia Tech plays #8 Notre Dame at 3:30 PM on NBC. I don't buy the Notre Dame hype, especially with starting quarterback Malik Zaire out for the season. #18 Auburn is coming off their narrow escape against Jacksonville State; they'll face a tough opponent in #13 LSU on CBS.

South Carolina plays #7 Georgia at 6:00 PM on ESPN. NCSU plays ODU at 7:00 PM but that game doesn't look to be televised.

A terrible Rutgers team plays Penn State at 8:00 PM on BTN; we'll see if Penn State is any better than "terrible", which is how they've looked so far. Stanford will likely be overmatched playing #6 USC on ABC.

At 9:15 PM, #15 Ole Miss plays #2 Alabama on ESPN. That's your Game of the Week.

At 10:30 PM, #19 BYU will face a stiff test against #10 UCLA on Fox Sports 1.
