College Football 2017 Week 2 Preview
Saturday, 2017 September 9 - 11:52 am
Michigan and N.C. State face weak opponents.

Michigan vs Cincinnati, ESPN noon
Michigan's opponent is considerably easier this week. Cincinnati is coached by former interim Ohio State HC Luke Fickell... but he was the coach in the year where Michigan beat OSU under Brady Hoke, so that should tell you something. Fickell is in his first year at Cincinnati and he inherits a bare cupboard left by the last coach, Tommy Tuberville. Cincinnati had difficulty beating their FCS opponent last week, and will get demolished today.

Prediction: Michigan 63, Cincinnati 0.

N.C. State vs Marshall, 6:00 ACC Network
Marshall isn't exactly a pushover; there's experience at the skill positions and it's a well-run program. They beat a decent Ohio team in week 1. But still, Marshall shouldn't be a match athletically for the Wolfpack, and it should be a comfortable win.

Prediction: N.C. State 38, Marshall 9.

Games to Watch on TV
The Michigan game is at noon on ABC. UNC plays Louisville at the same time on ESPN; keep an eye on that one.

Pitt is at Penn State at 3:30 on ABC. Indiana plays Virginia on ESPNU. Western Michigan plays Michigan State on BTN.

The NC State game is at 6:00 on the ACC Network.

#13 Auburn is at #3 Clemson at 7:00 on ESPN; that will be a monster. But the Game of the Week is at 7:30 on ABC, where #5 Oklahoma plays #2 Ohio State. I like Oklahoma in this game, FWIW. You'll want to peek at Georgia vs Notre Dame on NBC at the same time, and then at 8:30 you'll want to flip back and forth with #14 Stanford vs #6 USC on Fox.
