Real Kato Blog: Bleah Part Two

Well, I took another sick day today, but I think I'm getting better.

I'm not dead yet.

I always know when I'm sick because there's a certain bitter taste that I get in the back of my mouth. Does anyone else get this? The taste is very specific and I recognize it immediately as a sign that my body is fighting an infection.

Today I felt a little bit better. The sore throat is gone, but I still have a headache, and now I have some body aches too. It's nothing that can't be solved with the right drugs, though. I managed to work from home for about half a day today. I also dragged myself to the grocery store to pick up some much-needed provisions. I even bought frozen White Castle burgers. Hooray!

I think I'll try to go back in to work tomorrow. That place just falls apart when I'm not around. Well, when they notice that I'm not around, anyway.

My wife has a sore throat, and I thought she was joking.

I always get large hard bumps on the back of my tongue when I am getting sick. My wife insists that they are always there and that I just use them back up my claim of being sick. Sometimes I can feel my adnoids starting to get tender before I get a sore throat. My tonsils were removed in collage, too much partying.
