July 29 Frozen Meal: Tai Pei General Tso's Chicken | Tuesday, 2010 August 17 - 2:26 pm
"Chicken white meat and vegetables in spicy sauce".![]() ![]() I put this in a dish so it would photograph better. This is the entire contents of the box. Taste: Umm, perhaps you're talking about a different General Tso than the one I know, because this has no resemblance to any kind of General Tso's chicken that I've ever had. It's not fried, for one thing, and the sauce isn't at all sweet. The sauce is thin and the vegetables are a bit mushy. It is a bit spicy and it doesn't taste terrible, but General Tso this is certainly not. Score: 2.0/5.0 ![]() Nutrition: 2.5 servings in a box? Yeah, right. The whole package is only 340 grams of food. Here's the actual numbers: This is way, way better than the Tai Pei chicken fried rice meal. Score: 2.5/3.0 Packaging: Just throw the whole box in the microwave. Score: 2.0/2.0 Total Score: 6.5/10.0
