August 2 Frozen Meal: Michelina's Lean Gourmet Five Cheese Lasagna | Wednesday, 2010 September 8 - 10:58 am |
"Pasta layered with blended cheeses, topped with marinara sauce." Yep, that's what it looked like coming out of the microwave: like lasagna that has leapt to its death. Taste: It's a thin, dense block of pasta and cheese that has the texture and appearance of airplane food. The cheese is a processed mix that's mostly ricotta. The sauce is reasonably flavorful, but that's perhaps the only good thing about the dish. It's hard to even call this poor thing lasagna... more like lump-agna. Score: 2.0/5.0 Nutrition: Not awful, but a bit low in fiber and in vitamin content. Score: 2.0/3.0 Packaging: Requires opening the package and stirring midway through. Just like the other Michelina meals, it has an irritating cardboard top; once it's opened, it won't lie flat any more. Score: 1.0/2.0 Total Score: 5.0/10.0 |
