Today's Babbling
Thursday, 2005 May 26 - 11:59 pm
I have some babbling. But Jenn has more.

Hey everyone, Jenn-with-two-Ns has renamed her blog. Everyone click "reload" so the link on the left is updated... then go visit her and say hello.

Our local RoadRunner email servers were down for several hours in the middle of the day today. As Nicholas discovered, it's not just that I couldn't access my email... messages were actually being bounced back to senders. GRRR. For me, it was mostly just an inconvenience, though who knows whether Katie Holmes was desperately trying to reach me with information about a certain condition? Or if Christina Park decided she wanted to give me a private "interview"?

Today's three-mile run time: 27:19. About the same as last time. I felt really out-of-breath right from the start. That happens from time to time. I've always assumed it was because of elevated ozone levels on warm days, but I'm not sure about that. Maybe it's a tumor.

I don't understand how some people can run without breathing hard. I wheeze like a steam locomotive when I'm running... a steam locomotive pulling a train full of obscene phone callers. It's no wonder that if I'm passing a guy walking with his girlfriend, he'll protectively put his arm around her as I approach. I also notice that when a parent is walking with his/her daughter. I guess even in Apex, North Carolina, people are afraid of being attacked in the park by the Wheezing Weirdo.

Not much else is going on today. I have a backlog of topics that I could write about, but they can all wait. I'll just leave you with a tip for people who are using on-line dating services: DON'T post pictures of yourself surrounded by people who are better looking than you are. It doesn't help.

Darn You OLAF!!!! Just proves why we founded the geeky trio, and I think our minds are directly linked.
(Also sorry for my absence from the 'lage, I hope my trio membership hasn't been revoked!)

Also Ken, I'm sure it's not so much the wheezing but you yourself.

 Probably so. Though, I don't know what everyone's so worried about, because seeing I'm on the verge of having a heart attack out there anyway, even the eight-year-old girls could probably kick my ass.
