College Football 2016: Week 6 Preview
Saturday, 2016 October 8 - 11:58 am
Michigan plays Rutgers; NCSU takes on Notre Dame in a monsoon.

Michigan at Rutgers, 7:00 PM ESPN2
Rutgers just lost to Ohio State 58-0. What more can you really say? This is a bad team, and now playing without their best player, Janarion Grant. If this game is within three touchdowns at the half, I'll be surprised.

Prediction: Michigan 59, Rutgers 0.

N.C. State vs. Notre Dame, 12:00 PM ABC
This game will be played as the outer bands of Hurricane Matthew douse the area with rain. It will be an ugly, potentially turnover-filled affair, with the ability of both teams to run the ball likely to make the difference.

That being said, both teams will need to throw every now and then to keep the defenses honest, and despite DeShone Kizer's gaudy numbers, I like Ryan Finley's consistency better. More importantly, I don't believe in the Irish defense, which has been giving up 461 yards and 33 points per game.

Prediction: NCSU 25, Notre Dame 16.

Games to Watch on TV
The NCSU-ND game is on at noon on ABC. Texas plays #20 Oklahoma on Fox Sports 1, Iowa plays Minnesota on ESPN2, and Maryland plays Penn State on BTN.

At 3:30 PM, #17 UNC plays #25 Virginia Tech on ABC (locally). Indiana plays #2 Ohio State on ESPN. #9 Tennessee plays #8 Texas A&M on CBS. That the ESPN Game Day game, and it's my Game of the Week this week, as I think A&M will finally show that Tennessee is not all that good. BYU plays struggling MSU; I don't know if this game is televised. At 4:00 PM, #21 Colorado plays USC.

At 7:00 PM, Michigan-Rutgers is on ESPN2. #1 Alabama plays #16 Arkansas on ESPN.

At 8:00 PM, #23 Florida State plays #10 Miami.
