No, this is not another story about boobs. Here are my traffic patterns over the last few days. I will let you guess which two days I was mentioned on Suburban Bliss. I've now passed 5000 page loads. That means I've had more traffic in the last week than I have in my entire life. I'm pretty sure that my old friend Crouching Hamster was number 5000, so balloons and confetti for you! I love the fact that I've gotten so much exposure, and I thank everyone who reads and comments (including the mysterious Marcie). All this attention is making me alter my writing style somewhat. If you look at my older entries, they tended to be very dry mumblings about movies and technology and restaurants. As my readership has grown, things have become MUCH MUCH WETTER. I find that I'm growing less and less inhibited about what I write. It is somewhat exhibitionist, I suppose. There's always the danger that someone will get shocked or offended or weirded-out by something I write, but that's kind of the thrill, you know? Secretly I'm hoping that Mae will eventually find out about the crush I had on her in seventh grade. Stay tuned; I have plenty of embarrassing stories about myself to share in the near future! *Don't go to suburbanbliss.net. Someone else bought the domain and Melissa no longer writes there. |

Why didn't someone TELL me about all the site problems with Internet Explorer? I'll do some fixing tonight. |

I haven't had many problems with IE. I've had lots of problems with FireFox, which I switched to at your recommendation. FireFox seems to be very picky about syntax and stuff, which would be great if more people on the web were good html coders. As it is, I just find it irritating because at least once a day I have to use IE to see a web page that FireFox wouldn't display properly. It needs to relax! |

Well, IE was complaining about a Javascript error, because it doesn't properly support standard element properties. And then it wasn't rendering this comment section correctly. But I think I've now worked around all those things. |
