Clowns and idiots...

A group of clowns is suspected in a series of violent beatings and robberies in Tacoma, Washington. The group apparently consists of fans of the rap group Insane Clown Posse. That led me to wonder, just what kind of clowns are these guys? The crying on the inside kind?

A study has determined that schooling techniques in the United States are tilted to make boys less literate than girls. The theory is that most English classes focus on the feelings of characters in novels, whereas most boys would rather read historical accounts and adventure stories. It has gotten so bad that nearly a quarter of high school senior boys are so illiterate that they wouldn't be able to get the main point of a newspaper article after reading it. That's compared to only about 6% of girl students. Interestingly, home-schooled students do not have the same kind of gender gap.

I don't have anything funny to say about this... I just find it disturbing.

In the "this is NOT irony" department, Peter Coors, the CEO of Coors Brewery, was arrested for DUI last Friday. Go figure.

Yes they are from Detroit. Nothing like spreading the Motown mayhem that we see everyday to other towns!

I'm guessing that Pete Coors was drinking something other than Coors beer, or else his BAC would have been well below the limit.
