Friday's Frozen Meal: Smart Ones Home Style Beef Pot Roast
Monday, 2010 April 5 - 1:08 pm
"With carrots, onions, potatoes, green beans, & gravy."

Box

Meal

This wasn't exactly something I was eager to try.

Taste: Similar to other beef stew type meals, this has chunks of low-grade pressure-cooked meat and salty overcooked vegetables. It's hardly a "rich gravy", more like cheap canned soup. It's not spit-it-out unpleasant, but definitely like something you'd get in line at a school cafeteria. Score: 2.0/5.0

Nutrition

Nutrition: For a meal this small, it's quite high in sodium. It's also not great in terms of fiber or vitamins. Score: 1.5/3.0

Packaging: Requires peeling the film and stirring the food halfway through cooking. Score: 1.5/2.0

Total Score: 5.0/10.0
