Today's Frozen Meal: Kashi Red Curry Chicken
Monday, 2010 April 12 - 12:26 pm
"Kashi 7 Whole Grains & Sesame Pilaf; Chicken Breast with Fire Roasted Sweet Potato, Red Peppers, Bok Choy, Bamboo Shoots & Kale; Zesty Thai Style Red Curry Sauce."

Box

Meal

It's been a week since I've reviewed anything, I know. It's not because I've gotten lazy about this, it's just that we haven't gone grocery shopping in a while. Okay, I guess it is due to laziness.

This is another Kashi meal. It seems a lot like a lot of the other Kashi meals. You know, I sort of expected red curry to be... redder. And less vomit-looking.

Taste: Lots of ginger in this, which isn't unpleasant. It's not quite as curry-y as I'd like, and it might be slightly under-seasoned. There's a bit of spice to it, but that seems to be more from the ginger that anything else. The vegetables are a bit lifeless. But overall it works pretty well. There's a nice mix of flavors and textures, and it tastes pretty fresh. Score: 3.0/5.0

Nutrition

Nutrition: A bit high in fat and low in vitamins. Score: 2.0/3.0

Packaging: You have to peel the film and you have to stir halfway through, but it gets a bonus the recycled cardboard packaging. Score: 2.0/2.0

Total Score: 7.0/10.0
