Today's Frozen Meal: Smart Ones Chicken Enchiladas Suiza
Monday, 2010 April 19 - 1:28 pm
"In a zesty sour cream and green chile sauce with Spanish rice." Wait: Smart Ones has two nearly identical enchilada meals? Or is this one a replacement for the other one?

Box

Meal

I saw this in the store this morning and thought, "Didn't I just review that?" But no, apparently the enchiladas have migrated from Monterey to Switzerland. Or something like that.

Taste: Definitely better than the Monterey version. There are recognizable pieces of chicken in the enchiladas, and the sauce is creamy, cheesy, and pleasantly spicy. The rice is a disaster; it's overcooked and dry. But if you cover it with the sauce, it helps. Score: 3.0/5.0

Nutrition

Nutrition: Could use more fiber and vitamins. Score: 2.0/3.0

Packaging: You have to stir halfway through. Score: 1.5/2.0

Total Score: 6.5/10.0
