Recalling last night's events. After last night's debacle, I had a few drinks, and then I emailed just about every single girl that I know. Only two have written back so far. My guess is, the emails all reeked of "please let there be better dates than the one I just had", and everyone got a little turned off by the odor. I really need to meet new people... specifically, women who haven't quite figured out what that smell is. I won't be seeing ImprovGirl again, that's for sure. She probably won't write to me any more, but if she does, I'll tell her that it's just not going to happen. There was a point in the date where I felt like Hank Hill standing in the alley with Dale and Bill and Boomhower: "Yep... Mmm hmmm... Yup." Except, there was no beer there. NO BEER. There's one thing I'm glad about, though: I'm glad I never sent her the link to this blog. I guess I'm still optimistic. I've got numerous social events coming up, and I seem to be meeting a lot of people lately. I told Crouching Hamster that I feel I'm in the prime of my life right now. What's more, I still think the best is yet to come. That got me thinking: I don't believe in the philosophy of "live every day as if it were your last." I'm starting to believe, "live every day so that you can make tomorrow even better." That seems to be a more useful and positive outlook. |

I like your new philosophy. Hang in there. The occasional bad date will make you appreciate the good ones so much more. |
