Catching Up (Again)
Tuesday, 2006 April 25 - 7:48 am
Oh, blog, how I have neglected you...

I went to last night's Carolina Hurricanes game, against Montreal. It was kind of a roller-coaster ride. After the first period, we were down 3-0. We changed our goaltender, and then in the second period we scored four goals to go up 4-3. Then Montreal went back on top in the third period, 5-4. We scored a game-tying goal after pulling the goalie with less than two minutes left in the game. But then eventually we lost in double-overtime.

There were, of course, some questionable penalty calls, and some missed calls. But I think the crowd was more tired than angry at the end of the game.

In other news, I am largely over the cold/sinus infection/whatever that I had last week, though I still have bouts of coughing where I produce a disturbingly green loogie. And I still feel like I could sleep for about a week if I had the chance.

And finally, for those who might be interested, Amy and I have set a wedding date... it'll be December 30th. There are a few of advantages to that date: first, it means a tax deduction for me in 2006. Second, it means (hopefully) that people will be available for travel (though of course, some folks wouldn't be able to make it due to family obligations). Third, it'll make anniversaries pretty easy to remember.

Ah, doesn't it all come down to tax deductions? ;) But hooray for setting a date!

Assuming you invite me, of course. Which you would be with in your rights not to. But... any way... .
