Happy Thanksgiving | Friday, 2006 November 24 - 8:58 am |
This weekend's wallowing. This year we went to Amy's uncle's house for Thanksgiving. We were actually invited to three Thanksgiving events, but we could only make two of them. (Ellen, sorry, your invitation came late and by then we'd already made our other plans.) I successfully wallowed in turkey until I couldn't eat any more... but I may still pick up a turkey so I can have more leftovers. I watched Detroit's annual Thanksgiving-day loss (I mean "game")... and I ate a pound of turkey, a pound of potatoes, a pound of stuffing, a pound of green bean casserole, and a pound of dessert. All in all there was lots of pounding. And there'll be a lot of poundage added to my waistline this week. Ahh, the holidays. Looks like the weather will be beautiful around here this weekend, though, so maybe I'll be able to get out and get some exercise... in between watching football and playing City of Heroes. |

I'm on the wrong side of the country. Jen was talking about Ohio's 60 degree weather. We are below freezing, with overcast and snow on the ground. |
