The Tigers?
Wednesday, 2006 October 18 - 8:45 am
They're in the World Series? Are you sure?

Ken: Hey Blog, the Tigers are in the World Series this year.

Blog: The who? The Tamil Tigers?

Ken: No, the Detroit Tigers.

Blog: You mean, the same Detroit Tigers that were the laughingstock of the league in 2003, with a 43-119 record?

Ken: Yep.

Blog: And the same Detroit Tigers who were still laughable in 2004 and 2005, with 90-plus losses both years?

Ken: The very same.

Blog: I don't even know the names of any players on the team. And now they're in the World Series? The world has gone crazy.

Ken: I don't know any of the players' names either. I think one guy has the first name "Magglio".

Blog: How can you possibly be in the World Series with a guy named "Magglio"?

Ken: Apparently, though, the Hottest Black Man Alive also plays for the Tigers.

Blog: Al Roker plays for the Tigers?

Ken: That is disturbing on so many levels.
