What Now, Les?
Saturday, 2007 November 24 - 6:32 pm
LSU loses to Arkansas 50-48 in triple overtime.

LSU is no longer in the national championship picture. How does this affect the possibility that LSU coach Les Miles will be the next Michigan coach?

A. It's definitely more probable now. Michigan wouldn't have interfered with LSU as long as they were in the hunt for a national title, but with the loss, it's a green light for Michigan to go after Les. Plus, Les won't get the huge salary bonus he would have earned for winning the title, so money becomes less of an issue.

B. It's less probable now. Les Miles was attractive as a championship coach, but after watching the LSU defense get B-F'ed on national television (206 yards by Arkansas tailback Darren McFadden), maybe Les isn't such a brilliant pick after all.

C. Neither; Michigan is leaning towards Brian Kelly anyway.

What say you, Intertubes?

At Central Michigan, Brian Kelly's players stomped a man to death in a bar fight, and other players covered it up. then he made racially insensitive comments about the player backgrounds as a way of explaining away the coverup. At the very least he is bad in front of the press, at worst he recruits thugs. Not gonna happen.
