Yesterday's Frozen Meal: Healthy Choice Slow Roasted Turkey Medallions
Friday, 2010 May 14 - 3:02 pm
"Turkey Medallions in Savory Gravy with Red Skinned Potatoes, Butternut Squash, Apples & Cranberries."

Box

Meal

Comparable to the Lean Cuisine turkey meal.

Taste: Not too bad; pretty much what you'd expect from a frozen turkey meal. It's a little bit bland, and the potatoes are overly processed. (Before cooking, the potatoes are in little round medallion shapes, as if they've been extruded from a tube.) The apples and cranberries make the vegetable side dish very sweet, almost like dessert. It's not all that satisfying. Score: 2.5/5.0

Nutrition

Nutrition: Good numbers all around. Score: 3.0/3.0

Packaging: After three minutes, you're supposed to "spoon" the gravy over the turkey and potatoes. That was hard to do when the gravy was still mostly frozen at that point. I suppose our microwave at work is partly to blame for that. Score: 1.0/2.0

Total Score: 6.5/10.0
