October 4 Frozen Meal: Healthy Choice Honey Balsamic Chicken | Thursday, 2010 October 14 - 5:11 pm |
"Chicken tenderloins with red potatoes, asparagus, cherry tomatoes in honey-herb balsamic glaze." Seems a bit like the lemon herb chicken from before, but with a different sauce. There's that same questionable decision to include cooked cherry tomatoes. Taste: The balsamic sauce is disturbingly dark and gooey, and not as flavorful as one might expect. Clearly they're counting on this sauce to provide all the flavor for the dish, and it doesn't deliver. The asparagus is decent; I just wish there were more of it. The cherry tomatoes are tart and squishy; the potatoes are dry and overcooked. Bleh. Score: 2.0/5.0 Nutrition: Very low in fat, but slightly lacking in fiber and vitamins. Score: 2.0/3.0 Packaging: Very easy to cook; just take it out of the box and microwave the whole thing. Score: 2.0/2.0 Total Score: 6.0/10.0 |
