December 20 Frozen Meal: Lean Cuisine Chicken with Basil Cream Sauce
Tuesday, 2010 December 21 - 2:15 pm
"Chicken breast with rib meat and angel hair pasta."

Box

Meal

Taste: It has a nice basil-y smell. The noodles are woefully overcooked and all stuck together in a wad. The chicken has a suspicious texture; the package claims it's "chicken breast with rib meat" but it sure seems like mechanically separated chicken. At best it's been pounded and processed into oblivion. The sauce is creamy and flavorful; it perhaps could use a bit more pepper, but is otherwise the best part of the dish. The soggy sticky mass of noodles is the most disappointing part. This dish had potential; with some better chicken and properly cooked noodles, this would have scored significantly higher. Score: 2.0/5.0

Nutrition

Nutrition: Just okay; low in fiber and vitamins. Score: 2.0/3.0

Packaging: Just cut the film; no stirring required. Score: 2.0/2.0

Total Score: 6.0/10.0
