Farm-N Girls Are Easy
Tuesday, 2005 August 30 - 9:41 pm
If it wasn't for my recent online dating success, I might be worrying that I chose the wrong approach.

So the guy who turned his cornfield into a personal ad got seven hundred replies in a matter of weeks. SEVEN HUNDRED. Who knew there were THAT many single skydiving farm girls with extra hearts in this country?

For the record, seven hundred is WAY more than what I got from six months of online dating. You can just throw all my previous dating advice out the window: apparently all you need is LOTS AND LOTS OF CORN.

The farmer, 41-year-old Pieter DeHond, has been exchanging emails and phone calls with one woman who had a pizza delivered to his farm, along with a note containing her first name and phone number.

Corn. Pizza. Corn. Pizza. There's just something not right about this courting ritual.
