Television: Lost
Thursday, 2006 February 23 - 8:54 am
Well, really, this is a post about Javi.

The only news I have to report about "Lost" is that my good friend Javi is leaving the show. He's been a writer and producer for the show from the beginning, and you "Lost" fans had better believe that he's a BIG reason that the show is so inventive and compelling.

Back in high school, when Javi was writing little one-act plays for us to perform during lunch time, we all knew Javi would make it big. In fact, we all counted on his coattails to bring us a little fame and glory ourselves. (Dude, we're still waiting for that gravy train.) He's simply a very talented guy. And what's more, he's always entertaining. When I saw him get a smile out of the gloomiest blackjack dealer in Las Vegas, I thought to myself, "Wow."

Javi, good luck on whatever your next endeavor is. I think late night talk show host might be a good career choice.

dude - my next project may just be geared entirely toward the vast and unserviced audience of gloomy blackjack dealers!

thanks for the kind words, ken!

Even my parents knew he was going to make it big, and they are completely clueless. I also remember once in High School where he made some big, mean battle-axe of a nurse laugh during a blood drive.
