A Test | Sunday, 2007 October 14 - 8:47 pm |
This will test whether you're left-brained, right-brained, or just plain nuts. Via Kottke: the Australia Herald Sun web site gives us this test, which is supposed to indicate whether you're left-brained or right-brained. Do you see this dancer as spinning clockwise or counter-clockwise? It's possible to see it either way, because when her legs meet, you can't tell whether she's facing towards you or away from you. To me, it looks like she's spinning clockwise. I can force myself to see her as spinning counter-clockwise only if I cover up most of the picture, concentrate on the outer leg as it travels on the right side of the picture, and then slowly reveal the rest of the image. And even after that, it usually switches back after a couple of seconds. That's supposed to mean I'm predominantly right-brained. I spent about an hour staring at this thing, and not only did it make me dizzy, but it put me on the verge of insanity. So be careful out there, folks. |

Gaaaaaah!!!!!!!! Thank you so much for giving a method to switch directions. Until then, I was all "how on earth could someone see this as going counterclockwise. Then I did your thing. GAAAAAAH! |

I think it switches in the animated gif and this is a big joke on all of us. Just kidding. But I do have a headache now. Thanks a lot. |

I think the damn thing switches itself. At first it was counter clockwise then it switched. |

DEFINATELY switching. I'd recognize a boob shift anywhere, and the boobs are most certainly shifting directions. |

...Ok...I revisited this...I've found by watching the foot closest to the ground I can visually control which direction this beautiful silhouette goes...which means I am in complete control of my mind. My main concern is, now that we've figured out the direction thing, you're going to let us know that the shadow is actually a dude, and you'll say "it doesn't matter which side of the brain you use, because you're gay." |
