Leaker-In-Chief
Tuesday, 2006 April 11 - 7:50 am
I love how some media writers have picked up on the moniker "Leaker-In-Chief" for Bush. That one just might stick.

After some Senate Republicans called on Bush to come clean about his role in the intelligence leaks, Bush made this statement: "I will say this, that after we liberated Iraq, there was questions in peoples' minds about, you know, the basis upon which I made statements, in other words, going into Iraq."

Okay, dude, that clears it all up.

There's some weirdness of the timeline of the declassification versus the outing of Valerie Plame's identity, and exactly what Bush authorized Libby to do, and how much he was aware of. This is starting to blossom into a pretty high-profile scandal. The bad news for Bush is even if he didn't do anything wrong, this will probably derail the tattered remnants of his legislative agenda for the last two years. In other words, he's getting Clintoned.

What comes around, goes around, I guess.
