Today's Frozen Meal: Healthy Choice Whiskey Steak
Tuesday, 2010 February 2 - 12:51 pm
"Beef in Whiskey Dijon Sauce with Roasted Potatoes and Vegetables."

Box

Meal+Meal

Meal

Another Café Steamers meal. Yes, it actually has whiskey in it.

Taste: There's some kind of a disagreeable smell to the sauce, which perhaps come from whatever cheap bourbon they put into this thing. It doesn't taste awful, but then again, it doesn't really taste like anything at all. It's really, really bland. The meat chunks are pretty tough; I guess they didn't go through the usual ConAgra pressure treatment. It's a small portion and it's pretty disappointing overall. Score: 1.5/5.0

Nutrition

Nutrition: Pretty good. It's got lots of Vitamin B12, probably from the beef. But it's somewhat lacking in other vitamins, so it doesn't quite get the maximum score. Score: 2.5/3.0

Packaging: Convenient Café Steamer packaging. Score: 2.0/2.0

Total Score: 6.0/10.0

I won't buy these steamer things any more because it is a colossal waste of plastic and I'm slightly insane about such things.
