Today's Frozen Meal: Kashi Lemongrass Coconut Chicken
Wednesday, 2010 February 17 - 2:27 pm
"Chicken Breast with Broccoli Florets, Carrots & Sugar Snap Peas; Kashi 7 Whole Grains & Sesame with Red Quinoa Pilaf; Lemongrass & Coconut Sauce Topped with Coconut Flakes."

Box

Meal

Yeah, there's an unfortunate vomit-like appearance to this meal.

Taste: The first three flavors I notice are ginger, ginger, and ginger. It seems to be Kashi's strategy to make up for a lack of salt by loading up with another flavor. In this case it works pretty well, though I still wish there were a little more salt, and I wish the coconut was a little more prominent. I like the texture of the meal and the overall flavor is enjoyable. Score: 3.5/5.0

Nutrition

Nutrition: Borderline in a few categories, but pretty healthy overall. Score: 2.5/3.0

Packaging: The same as the other Kashi meals: peel and stir after two minutes, but with earth-friendly packaging. Score: 2.0/2.0

Total Score: 8.0/10.0
