Tuesday's Frozen Meal: Michelina's Lean Gourmet Chicken Alfredo Florentine | Thursday, 2010 May 6 - 11:34 am |
Is this new? I didn't know Michelina had "lean" meals. "Creamy alfredo sauce with white chicken & spinach with fettuccine". Note the emphasis on WHITE chicken. Damn chicken racists. It looks and smells pretty good out of the box. Taste: The sauce isn't bad, and I can definitely taste the spinach, so it does seem like a real florentine. But the texture of the chicken is rubbery and off-putting. And at just 227 grams, it's not very satisfying. There's just not much to it. Score: 2.5/5.0 Nutrition: Slightly high in saturated fat and sodium; not much in the way of vitamins. Score: 1.0/3.0 Packaging: You have to stir halfway through, and for some reason you have to stir the pasta and sauce separately. What happens if you stir them together? Does it explode? Score: 1.0/2.0 Total Score: 4.5/10.0 Ugh. |
