Last Fortnight's Frozen Meal: Lean Cuisine Bacon Alfredo Pizza
Tuesday, 2010 July 6 - 12:15 pm
It's "Wood Fire Style"! (No actual wood or fire used in the making of this product.) "Spinach, tomatoes, bacon & reduced fat mozzarella cheese with a creamy alfredo sauce on a thin crust."

Box

Meal

Unfortunately the microwave at work didn't seem to cook this thing very well. I even cooked it for an additional minute and the cheese still didn't melt. I can't tell if it's a flaw in the product or a problem with the microwave, but I'll give the product the benefit of the doubt and blame the microwave.

Taste: It's tiny, of course, like all these pizzas are. It's nice and spinach-y, but the "bacon" is a joke; it's just scattered bits of flavorless meat, almost like imitation bacon bits. The crust is decent. The alfredo sauce lacks flavor compared to traditional pizza sauce. Score: 2.5/5.0

Nutrition

Nutrition: 9 grams of total fat, not much fiber, not much in the way of vitamins. Score: 1.5/3.0

Packaging: It has the same crisping platform and fiddly shrink-wrap as all the other Lean Cuisine pizzas. Score: 1.5/2.0

Total Score: 5.5/10.0
