"White Meat Chicken with Rice and Portobello Mushrooms in a Creamy Chardonnay Sauce."

Meal

You should know that we are risotto snobs in our household.

Taste: Let's get something straight: this is not risotto. It is ordinary rice with what is essentially chicken mushroom soup. The sauce gets none of its thickness or creaminess from rice starches, and the rice has not absorbed any of the flavor from the sauce. But misrepresentations aside, this isn't awful. It's nice and mushroomy and pleasantly seasoned, with noticeable bits of basil. Score: 3.0/5.0

Nutrition

Nutrition: It's not horrendous in any one category, but it's not good anywhere either (except in the calorie count). If I were to use a more graduated scale (giving partial points in each category) this would score better. I may switch my grading system eventually. But for now, this gets... Score: 0.5/3.0

Packaging: Convenient steamer packaging. Score: 2.0/2.0

Total Score: 5.5/10.0

I found this item recently and am thrilled with it. Perhaps it is my British tastebuds that enjoy subtle tastes. I find the combination of creaminess, mushroom flavoring and seasonings to be fine-tuned and delicate. I have tried to find it yesterday and today in my usual supermarkets and cannot find it. Please give it back to me!
