Katrina Aid Meme Update
Friday, 2005 September 9 - 9:33 pm
You people all rock. Thanks for participating and spreading the word.

First, I just have to include this:

It's all over the Internet, and you've probably seen it already, but it cracks me up and I had to mention it.

So the Katrina Aid Meme has really taken off, and I couldn't be more pleased. I have to thank Melinda for starting things off. But Javi definitely deserves a shout-out for being the first replicant of the meme, and for driving hundreds of his minions to participate. I'm thoroughly amazed at how quickly LiveJournal spreads a meme... I think the "friends list" thing really helps feed that.

Javi's already hit his donation limit, but I haven't gotten to mine. I've donated the first $200 of my pledge, but I've raised my limit to $500. So keep it up, folks. It makes me all warm and tingly.
