Ethics? What Ethics? | Thursday, 2005 September 29 - 8:29 am |
In October, Japanese researchers, for the first time, were able to record a video of a live giant squid in its natural habitat. I took the liberty of blowing up and enhancing a portion of the photograph: Ah, it's our old friend, House Majority Leader Tom Delay. He was indicted Wednesday on charges of funneling corporate money to Republican campaigns, in violation of Texas law. By the rules of the House, Delay had to step down from his post as Majority Leader, where he had been instrumental in shaping the Republican congressional agenda. OHHHHHHH. That's a darn shame. Is he the victim of an overzealous prosecutor, driven by political motives? Maybe. But you know, what goes around, comes around. |
