Today's Frozen Meal: Marie Callender's Penne Garlic Chicken
Tuesday, 2010 July 6 - 6:19 pm
"Penne and Roasted Garlic Sauce with White Meat Chicken, Artichokes and Roma Tomatoes".

Box

Meal+Meal

Meal

This has a terrific garlicky smell coming out of the microwave. I can tell instantly that it'll be better than the Healthy Choice Mediterranean thing I reviewed earlier.

Taste: It's not quite as good as I expected from the aroma, but it's garlicky and flavorful. It might be a bit too salty. There doesn't seem to be much in the way of tomatoes, and the artichokes are pretty bland. The chicken is your usual frozen-food fare. All in all, there's a lot to like about this dish, but your co-workers may complain about your breath afterwards. Score: 3.5/5.0

Nutrition

Nutrition: Egads. 17 grams of fat, and a whopping 950 mg of sodium. Score: 1.5/3.0

Packaging: Like some of the Healthy Choice meals, it has the convenient steamer tray. Score: 2.0/2.0

Total Score: 7.0/10.0
